Hello everybody!
As most of you know, I am leaving for Ethiopia next week. I will stay there for 2,5 months and work as a midwife in a local hospital. After a short stop over in Holland/Germany I will then join my husband in Mozambique and hopefully continue my work as a midwife there.
In this blog I will try to keep you up to date (as far as Internet allows it)about my activities.
I know that some of you will have trouble reading English texts, but - as our family and friends are a quite international group - this is the easiest way to suite most of you.
To get started I do not look like on the picture on the left anymore - cut my hair for it seems handier as long as I have to wash it in a bucket.
And the house is a mess with little piles of stuff I want to take with me al over the place.
But I hope that I will soon be able to post more interesting stories.

Het is zover, eindelijk naar Afrika. Blijft een raar idee dat je zo ver weg gaat. We hebben nog een hoop cliënten die het jammer vinden dat je niet meer hier bent (en wij natuurlijk ook ;-) )
Hopelijk ga je een mooie tijd tegemoet en ik zie je in april nog even -

Ich bin schon gespannt auf Deine Berichte. Abgesehen davon, dass ich froh bin, meine Haare einfach unter der Dusche waschen zu können ;-), kriege ich bei Deinen Zeilen auch Fernweh ... :-)

Alles gaat goed met Theo. Ze komt steeds vaker van de vensterbank om lekker door het huis te lopen. Gisteren hadden we gasten te eten en ze kwam er lekker bij zitten op tafel! Maak je over haar maar geen zorgen. -
